After placing your first tooling order with Fictiv (e.g. Injection Molding, Compression Molding or Die Casting) your purchased molds will show up in your Mold Library under My Workspace. Only you have visibility to the molds you purchased in your Mold Library. If you don't see your mold present in your Library it may have been purchased by someone else at your organization. Please contact Fictiv support and our team will work with you to get access.
How do I place a reorder off my mold?
To place a reorder off a mold you have built with Fictiv click the Request reorder button on your Molds list page. You can search for a mold or part by part name, order name, mold name or PO#. Please note, molds that are still being built and not yet ready for production will be visible in your Library but not available for reorders.
You can add parts from different molds to a reorder, however only one reorder and modification request can be active at a time.
Where can I find my mold library quote?
To find your reorder quote look for the associated quote link from your Mold Library. Your reorders will also be visible from your Quotes list under My Workspace.
Requesting modifications to parts
Quantity changes are permitted to reorders off your mold. If design changes are needed you can request modifications to your parts for molds that are ready for production. This can include changes to color, material or finish as well as part design. Please note that all modifications requested will be reviewed by our manufacturing team and could impact the design of your mold that you've built with Fictiv. If design or manufacturing changes are required to parts while your mold is still being finalized, please reach out to your sales representative.
How to create a modification request
Search for the parts you'd like to request modifications to in your Mold Library. Use the Request modification button to create your modification quote. You may only have one modification quote open at a time, however you may add multiple parts from different molds to your quote.
Communicating changes to your parts
Once your quote is created you can use the Reorder requirements section to add any general requirements, notes or questions you may have. To make changes to your part use the Modify part link on your quote to make any edits to material, color, finishing or drawings.
If necessary, you may also upload a new part revision by selecting this option from the ββ¦β menu. Your current part configuration will be automatically applied to the new part revision, but it can be edited using the Modify part link.
Excluding parts from production
In the case a runner shut-off is included for a family tooling mold, please utilize the option to "Exclude" a part from your quote. This will remove the part from the quote but it will still be accessible from your Mold Library for reorder in the future.
How to share a quote with a colleague
To share a reorder or modification request with someone use the Share feature from your quote. If you would prefer to transfer ownership of your mold please contact your Fictiv sales representative and they will transfer ownership of your mold to another Fictiv user.
How to grant multiple users access to a mold
You can give multiple users access to a mold by contacting your sales support representative. Users with access will be able to view the mold and all part details in their Mold Library as well as place orders and request modifications. To share quotes created from your mold, you must manually share them with colleagues.
Placing your reorder or modification request
Both reorders and modification requests need to be evaluated by our team and cannot be automatically priced. Please request a quote and our team will be in touch with you via email or phone call to discuss your reorder and/or any changes to your mold or part design.
Once your quote is finalized look out for an email from our team to proceed with placing your order. Currently we cannot support checking out Mold Library quotes on our platform but are working towards making this available soon!
